Around the  World

     It is very loosely spoken in Second Life that many cultures mingle and meld, come together to share experiences and lifestyles in a virtual world. Like early America, a second “Melting Pot” has been boiling beneath the revolution of mesh and the ever increasing value of the Linden Dollar. Lips spread in languages we can now identify from an online game, words are recognized in typefaces we can point out from standing in the same spaces. Banners are no longer spatters of reds and blacks, grays and greens; but flags flown proudly that do not make us anything but equal men and women here on the grid. Anyone can easily say, Linden Labs has knitted hundreds of thousands of different people into the same quilt; and The Ego Co. wishes to immerse designers into that mindset.

     Around the world will be a gathering of participating designers to come together and choose a region of the world. Not only will they create content that is based off of that region, they will bring it to life. Captivating culture and putting the very breath of diversity into the fingertips of a seller; shoppers will come to Around the World to experience the senses of these places. New or old, it will feel like they are being taken away, a haze of Africa clouding their sight; the bustle of Russia biting their fingertips; the heat of midsummer China sweltering along their collar. More than just an event, it is a milestone of celebrating equality in Second Life and culture in a virtual world.

Designer Requirements

Each participating designer will be required to create one new item that reflects the culture of their region. This item will remain available only at Around The World for the duration of the event and may be sold at your store after the event comes to an end.

Pricing & Refunds

$1500L for 100 prim booth

$2000L for 150 prim booth

Once you have been accepted to Around The World and your fee has been paid, there will be no refunds.

 Sponsorships

Sponsors will have 300 prim booths in prime locations and will be featured on press releases.
